The DAU Barcelona Professional Congress celebrates its third edition as a meeting point for reflection and connection among professionals working in the board game sector.
Over two days, it will bring together publishers, game designers, illustrators, distributors, content creators, researchers, institutions and other stakeholders from across the ecosystem to share knowledge, build new connections and address the sector’s challenges and opportunities.
The Professional Congress is structured around three areas: Talent, Industry and Academia, featuring talks, round tables, working sessions and networking opportunities.
As part of DAU Barcelona’s 15th anniversary, this third edition strengthens the festival’s professional dimension and its commitment to contributing to the development, visibility and cultural recognition of the board game sector.

Pitch Lab · DAU Academia
Open call
The Pitch Lab is the space within the DAU Barcelona Professional Congress dedicated to young Master’s and PhD researchers working in the field of board games.
Coordinated by PhD Belén Moreno Garrido , it offers participants the opportunity to present research projects, receive specialised feedback and connect with the academic and professional community. Participation is available in person or online.
Proposals must be submitted as a single PDF document of no more than 10 pages and will be assessed according to their scientific quality, relevance to board games, potential impact and ability to communicate research effectively.

Results announced: 19 October 2026
